How long do dental implants last?

With good cleaning and regular check-ups, a titanium implant can last many years. It fuses with the jawbone, but it still depends on gum health and bite. The ceramic crown on top typically lasts 15–20 years before needing replacement. We use established Swiss implant systems.

Is the dental implant procedure painful?

Most patients report minimal discomfort. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Post-operative pain is typically managed with mild medication for 2–3 days.

What is the cost of dental implants at Dr C Dental Clinic?

Implant costs vary based on the system and your clinical needs. We explain costs clearly before treatment. EMI options are available through Bajaj Finance. Tenure and interest are set by Bajaj Finance, and the clinic will show you the plan before you commit. Contact us for a personalized treatment plan and cost estimate.

Am I a candidate for dental implants?

Most adults with good general health are candidates. Requirements include adequate jawbone density, healthy gums, and no uncontrolled systemic disease. Even if you have bone loss, we offer bone grafting and advanced solutions. Dr. Sunnil provides a comprehensive 3D CBCT evaluation to determine candidacy.

How long does the full implant process take?

The total process from implant placement to final crown typically takes 3–6 months. However, in suitable cases, we offer 'Teeth in a Day' (immediate loading), where you leave the same day with a functional tooth. Dr. Sunnil will advise the right protocol based on your 3D scan.

Does a root canal treatment hurt?

Modern root canal treatment at Dr C Dental Clinic is as comfortable as getting a standard filling. Our specialists use rotary endodontics and advanced anesthesia to ensure a comfortable experience. Most patients are relieved of their toothache immediately after the procedure.

How many sittings does a root canal take?

At Dr C Dental Clinic, we specialize in single-sitting root canal treatment using advanced rotary endodontic systems. Most cases are completed in one appointment of 60–90 minutes. Complex multi-rooted teeth or severely infected cases may require 2 sittings.

What is laser root canal treatment?

Laser root canal uses an Biolase diode laser to disinfect the root canals with greater precision than traditional chemicals. It eliminates bacteria in areas conventional tools can't reach, reduces inflammation faster, and promotes better healing. Available at Dr C Dental Clinic.

After a root canal, do I need a crown?

Yes, in most cases. A tooth that has undergone root canal treatment becomes more brittle and prone to fracture. A dental crown protects the tooth and restores full biting function. We recommend placing the crown within 2–4 weeks of completing the root canal.

Am I too old for braces?

Absolutely not. Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age. Many of our patients are adults choosing Invisalign clear aligners for a discreet way to straighten their teeth. The biology of tooth movement works at any age, though adult treatment may take slightly longer than in teenagers.

What is the difference between Invisalign and braces?

Braces (metal or ceramic) use brackets bonded to teeth with wires, visible during treatment. Invisalign uses a series of clear removable trays that are nearly invisible. Invisalign is more comfortable and aesthetically preferred by adults. Braces may be required for complex bite corrections. Dr. Suhas Adabala MDS will recommend the right option for you.

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

Most braces treatments take 12–24 months. Invisalign can often achieve results in 6–18 months for mild-to-moderate cases. The exact duration depends on the complexity of your bite and alignment issues. Dr. Suhas provides a digital treatment simulation so you can see your expected results before starting.

Does wearing braces hurt?

Braces may cause mild soreness for 2–3 days after placement or each adjustment appointment, but not sharp pain. Invisalign trays may feel slightly tight when you switch to a new tray, which is normal and indicates the teeth are moving. We provide wax to reduce bracket irritation.

How long does professional teeth whitening last?

Results typically last 12–24 months depending on your lifestyle habits (tea, coffee, smoking). We provide a maintenance kit to help preserve your bright smile for longer. Our laser whitening achieves up to several shades improvement in a single 60-minute session.

What is a smile makeover and how long does it take?

A smile makeover is a combination of cosmetic procedures (veneers, whitening, bonding, gum contouring, Invisalign) designed around your facial features and smile goals. Simple makeovers can be done in 2–3 visits. We use Digital Smile Design (DSD) to preview your new smile before any work begins.

Are dental veneers permanent?

Porcelain veneers are considered a permanent treatment because a thin layer of enamel is removed to place them. They last 10–15 years with proper care. Composite veneers are reversible and last 3–5 years. Dr. Vasavi Reddy will discuss the best option based on your goals and tooth structure.

At what age should my child first see a dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends the first dental visit by age 1, or when the first tooth appears. Early visits help establish healthy habits, detect developmental issues early, and make children comfortable with dental care — preventing dental anxiety later in life.

How do you handle anxious or fearful children?

Our dentists use the tell-show-do technique, child-friendly language, and a warm clinic environment to build trust. We never force a child. For very anxious children, we take extra time and plan treatment over shorter visits.

Are baby teeth important if they fall out anyway?

Yes, very much so. Baby (milk) teeth hold space for permanent teeth. Losing them too early can cause crowding and alignment problems. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and can affect the developing permanent tooth below. Early treatment protects your child's long-term oral health.

My gums bleed when I brush. Is that normal?

No. Bleeding gums are almost always a sign of gingivitis (early gum disease) caused by plaque buildup. It is very treatable with a professional cleaning and improved home care. Left untreated, gingivitis progresses to periodontitis, which can cause bone loss and tooth loss. Book a gum evaluation with Dr. Vasavi Reddy.
