Digital Diagnosis & Anaesthesia
Using RVG digital X-rays, our dentist precisely measures the length and curvature of your infected tooth roots. We then administer a highly effective local anaesthetic block. Once the area is numb, most patients feel pressure rather than pain.
Infection Removal & Cleaning
A small access is made to reach the pulp chamber. Using flexible NiTi rotary files, the infected nerve tissue and bacteria are safely removed. The canals are thoroughly flushed with antimicrobial solutions to ensure 100% eradication of the infection causing your toothache.
3D Obturation (Sealing)
Once completely sterile, the empty canals are filled with a biocompatible rubber-like material called Gutta-Percha. We use a warm vertical compaction technique to ensure the material flows into all microscopic side-canals, completely sealing the tooth from future reinfection.
Crown Preparation
A root canal treated tooth becomes brittle over time. In the same sitting, we prepare the tooth structure and take a digital scan for your Zirconia or PFM crown. This protective cap restores the tooth's original strength, allowing you to chew aggressively without fear of fracture.

Post-RCT Care & Crown Maintenance
Your toothache is gone, but the tooth is still in a healing phase. Follow these instructions to ensure your treated tooth lasts a lifetime.
- ✓ Wait for Numbness to Fade: Do not eat anything until the local anaesthesia has completely worn off (usually 2-3 hours) to avoid accidentally biting your lip, cheek, or tongue.
- ✓ Avoid Chewing on that Side: Until your permanent crown is fitted, the tooth is structurally weaker. Chew all hard foods on the opposite side of your mouth.
- ✓ Mild Tenderness is Normal: You may feel mild soreness or "bruising" when biting down for 3 to 5 days as the ligament around the tooth heals. Over-the-counter painkillers will easily manage this.
- ✓ Maintain Oral Hygiene: Continue brushing and flossing normally. The treated tooth cannot get infected from the inside again, but it CAN still get a cavity on the outside if plaque accumulates.
- ✓ Do Not Delay Your Crown: This is the most critical step. Leaving an RCT-treated tooth without a crown for more than 4 weeks dramatically increases the risk of the tooth fracturing vertically, which requires extraction.
